Venture to the north
Up pass the fork
Lined with hibiscus trees.
Gently touch the pure
And quiet soul
Of those that tread this way
So many years ago.
Theirs is the heart
That beats
In the presence
Of all majesty you meet.
On this journey
Taken to be whole
Up north
Where the hibiscus grow.

Sometimes I do believe
There’s a warmth in the trees
Across the road, down the hill
And far away from this today.
Sometimes I do believe
There’s majesty in all we do
Our breath, our beating heart
Skipping like a meadowlark.
Sometimes I do believe
We are one with God
Child, parent, desperate soul
Sometimes I do believe.

There in my heart
The world comes alive
Feeling the love, strength
Of those I abide.
Dwell deep within
Then rocketing back out
I be the one my heart
Needs me to be about.

Absolutely better than the rest
Your heart will soar
You’ll make a smile on your lips
Stand straight, stand tall
Make it better than them all.

My heart is sad and maybe a little mad
Not at the world but my attitude.
Who made me think I could chose
The way to travel thru this universe?
Not alone
Nor will I ever be
Able to master all this
I see before of me.
Be me humble and resolute
I will accomplish this I wish to
With a power greater
Than all of me.
This my heart must accept
For it will race with joy
As I master this
That has been brought
Before of me.
Thank you God
And the Lord above
Without your help
There would be no love.
