Maybe when the heart is shaking
I’ll know the answer why
Maybe then the world won’t seem
So dark and answers will cry
Not the black thoughts I’ve heard in my head
No kinder things
The things my heart
Kindly thinks and saids.

Suffering through the darkness of day
Seeing light in the lightest night
All is mixed, messed up
Nothing seems sane no one talks words
That make any sense
All are inaudible really insane.
Still I go on
Not knowing why, hoping to meet
Someone who has answers
Who cry words of wisdom
Notes that make sense holding
The madness at a long arm’s length.

Feeling kind of useless
Low down far from heaven
Feeling life has passed
I didn’t grasp the pieces
That would have made it heaven
Feeling kind of low
So much I tow
Don’t know when or where
I’ll get to heaven.

Stay for the day
Don’t wander, falter in anyway
Sacrifice your heartache
Throw out those that naysay
Stay in the hour
In the moment
Every second, everyday
For all time
Today.

My heart aches
For the girl I use to be
Finding it hard accepting
This woman I am to be.
I was innocent then
Accepting and carefree.
What happened
To that girl?
Where could she be?
Life took a toll
Leaving her as you see.
Must accept this woman
Must be pleased
And certainly see
a beautiful person too
Just not as carefree.
Happy yes, more so now
Than ever could be.
So love this woman
Because she is me.

Difficult to remember
And difficult to see
Not the best to my heart
I struggle to become
The best that I can be.
No glory accompanies the procession
No marching band marches
Alongside of me
It’s difficult to remember
