Life would be easy

If only I’d forget
Those memories that bind.
For no crying will change
What has happened
Nor make it
Not come to past.
If I lived in the present
Not thinking of the past
Never crying for
What happens in the future.
Let it come
Let it past
Now is my time
Now I must make it last.

The sun rises
Shines
All across the land
The ground wakes
Sighing a gentle sigh
All across the land.
Birds fly, coyotes call
Leaves sway in unison
All across the land
Contentment is ours
To enjoy
All across the land.

With my heart pounding
deep within my breast
the world continues to spin around.
White doves cry
walrus sing
and
fish reach for the sky.
Nothings felt
that hasn’t been
nothings true if we must begin
begin again.

Feeling lonely and alone
Trapped on a treadmill
Going nowhere
Not back home.
Heart is broken
The sky blue
Tears fall
Masked as rain.
Dropped by a hand
Who doesn’t blame
Anyone
For the shape I’m in.
Only suggests
I must stop, turn around
And
Begin again.

With light.
The earth warm
From the loving sun
The ocean deep and green
Fish swimming without concerns
It seems.
What a time

No one knows where
Where it unfolds.
Melting into day
Hiding thru the night
Breaking once again
In the glorious morning light

Weeps and wails
Crashing thunder
Before my very eyes
Anger, sadness
Blessed love
Not sure
Not sure which is
The reason why.

Angry, hurt are the feelings
Racing thru my head
Why would people be that way
Can’t accept such treatment
In my heart, my head
Seething, feeling angry
But I’ll try to forgive and say
Goodbye to such
That make life an unholy place
No one wants today.
