Snow Is Blowing Once Again

January 27, 2014

First of Winter Road ~ Photo by Patrice

Snow is blowing once again
Spewing doubt of whether
A heart will beat and families meet
In this world or after.

Sadness is a trait
Carried on an atmosphere
That makes us feel so small
Full of heartache, heartache
Is what we feel us all.

Thru the cold may we flourish
Someday in the warmth
Of sunshine of the sun
Share laughter with family
And all friends
No sorrows or past regrets
Just pleasure at its best.

So, may snow blow love
Far into spring
Caressing thru a summer
That’s falling into fall.

Thats, that’s what we hope for
Even have the nerve to request
Oh yes, that would be the best
For us all.

The Blue Of A Heavenly Blue

September 24, 2013

Morning Glories ~ photo by Patrice

The blue of a heavenly blue
Morning glory
Reigns over all that I recall
Of summer bright
Full
Full of absolute delight.

Dying now settling down
Falling into fall
A beauty of it’s own
Reds, browns golden hues
Contrasting with a heavenly blue
Morning glory
Hanging on into fall.

When summer is long gone
And I can only recall
Those summer heavenly blues
Most of all.

I Saw A Hummingbird Amongst Snowflakes

May 12, 2013

I saw a hummingbird amongst snowflakes
Shattering life, no respite
Falling into spring cold and shivering
Hovering over brave blooms
As you come to make a summer home
In this land that has no way
To warm and comfort
On this cold spring day.

Fly south I’d say, then wait a day
Before braving storms to come back
To the land you can call
A summer home once more
Yes, I saw a hummingbird
Amongst snowflakes just today.
