The sun shines bright
Mists have blended
Into the water beyond
No one sees bees
No bats fly
In the expanse that surrounds
Nor does anyone hear
The cry
They’re gone, they’re gone
I rest, I sleep
Maybe there I’ll see
And
Seek a world that once here
Belonged.
