When I see
The sadness in your life
The unkindness
The things that shouldn’t be
My heart goes out
Wants to hold you
Oh, so closely.

I hope in tomorrow’s
Morning light
You’ll be in a better place
Far away from any strife
But near enough
So
We can embrace.
