Holding My Heart

Holding my heart
near to me
so it won’t break
fall from joy
into
misery.

I’ll hold her close
feel the veins and arteries
pumping
throughout
my grateful body.

She has been
but never seen
light
hidden deep
inside of me.

Never spoken or cried
there
she stays
inside of me
inside
my body.
