You Walked

May 16, 2024

You walked a mile
You walked to town to buy groceries
You walked for fun
And
I think to clear your head
Of
Things not necessary.

Your quiet way, your giggle
Your wave
As you walked
In the middle of the road
I miss these
I miss
Everything
About you already
But
Most of all
I miss you.

There’s a chair for you
To rest on
As you walk
This last walk, this journey
You’re now taking.

Please, when you get there
Let us know
You made it safely
That
You’re resting nicely
You’re laughing
With your old friends
You made it there.

Walk carefully, walk gently
Sweet Patsy
We miss you
But
We know you now walk
Freely
With not a care.

Rest in Peace Patsy ❤️💞❤️

This poem beautifully captures the essence of missing a loved one who has passed away, expressing both the longing for their presence and the hope that they are now at peace. The imagery of walking and resting symbolizes the journey of life and the eventual peace in death. It’s a heartfelt tribute to someone dearly missed.

    Lovely tribute 😍 👌
