I Don’t Write

I don’t write
I clear my head
of
the thoughts
swirling round
coming from those
that
are dead.
They need to say
to
ones alive
“I love you
I’ll help you through life
you will survive”
Sometimes
they’re kind
sometimes they’re sweet
sometimes though
they say
what needs to be said
to help
loved ones
get back up
on
their feet.
I thank them
for
coming
I appreciate they do
cause I too benefit
from
their words
that may be written
just for you.
