May I take off
strip away
all
the hurt
anger
sadness
I felt
yesterday

May I live
in
solace
of
the comforts
I’ll experience
just
today

No more
regrets
unhappiness
no more
beauty
drifting away

For now
today
I’ll have
love
enveloping me
in
each
and
every way.

My first thought reading the words “may I take off” were “my shoes and put my feet up and enjoy the peace”. Just thought I would share that.
