My Seeing Eyes

I close my eyes
covering up all
I surmise
to be
awful
to
my seeing eyes

Tomorrow when
I open up
my eyes
see the beauty, the wealth
in
all the clouds
the skies

Then I’ll know
I don’t have
to
really close
my eyes

For that beauty
is
all around
whether
they are closed or open
to
these
my seeing eyes.
