Morning doves
are
such gentle folk
they don’t yell or scream
like
Blue Jays
cry
No, they simply
silently
move across the quiet sky
cooing softly
as
they sit
side-by-side.
I hope
I can be
like
a morning dove
kind and gentle
full
of
quiet love.
