Goodness In And The Bad Leave

The bad has begun to leave the stage.
Let
the goodness in.
Let no one else
feel the pressure
of
what has been.
Let not one soul
be lost
once again.
Let us find
a caged bed
for those that have taken
all
that was cherished
once was
has been.
Let the ones
afraid
to open their door
afraid
to go to work
let them
now
smile, laugh
enjoy the freedom
that was
theirs to begin.
Bars
on the windows
for
the bloated with rage ones
who couldn’t care less
if an innocent
was lost
never again
to
breathe life
in their chest.
Such a sin
such a sin.
Let us now
hear
the sky ring with laughter
the sounds of peace
generosity, kindness.
Yes
let us hear it
once again.
