You’re near
Chances are you are everywhere
Holding me, consoling me
Guiding me
Chances are.
Feel your love, feel your sweet breath
Chances are you live, you love
And then there’s death
Chances are.

Today
Is a day unlike any other day
Filled with life
Filled with strife
And too, things nice.
Must make it my day
Do it my way
And at the end, at the night
I’ll look, see what a wondrous day
Was given to me.
Then I can peacefully sleep
In anticipation of what
The day
The next day
Will bring to me.

Tender mercies envelop me
Hold me still, holding me.
The solace I need
Comforting, showing me.
Suffice to say I feel comforted
Safe, in the arms of mercy.

Feeling down, don’t know why
Heart is cold, feeling nothing
Nothing that can be told
Or reasoned why
Angry most of all at what I don’t recall.
Then there is my head
My mind it’s telling stories full of dread
It saids there is no way things will be right
Just give up, curl up and sleep
Til late tonight.
That’s when my heart beats up
Pounding, ‘Don’t give up!’
I can make it right, deep breath
The rest will come
Before falling of sweet night.
Listen
Hear things dear to your heart
Let your mind wander but don’t let it start
The bad, the sad or that which will taint
The faint of heart.
