What I know, what I don’t know
What I do in spite of what the show
Playing out there, outside in the snow.
Makes no difference, makes no change
Here inside the life I play
No matter
No matter what I know or say.

Danger! Beware!
Close by is a snare
Ready to catch you
Ready to draw you in
To make a life filled
With sadness and chagrin.
Please be aware
Please don’t go or dwell there
Your life is worth more
A thousand times more
This I must share
I really do care.
Danger! Beware!

I’ve been thinking.
Maybe I should put some of my poems into a book.
Since this would be my first attempt at such a thing, I need some help from all of you who have been so loyal to this blog of mine. That help could come in the form of letting me know your preference of my work. Which poems you like, what affirmations…
So take a look and let me know what your thoughts are.
I will be taking a brief break but will be online checking for your favourites and opinions. Thanks and waiting to hear!

The answer came to me
Not in a flash of light
Nor as a wave crashing in the night
That those past lives lived
Come to us in a way
So simple and so straight away
They come in our DNA.
We remember things gone by
And don’t know why
But the reason is
They are in our DNA.
Such as when you think
You’ve been here before
Think again
For you have been
It’s all written in your DNA.
They tell us what we need
What will make us pleased
It’s all there in our DNA.
When you think you’ve been
In this situation once again
It’s most likely true
The blueprints shows us
Thru and thru all that’s written
There in our DNA.
Why we laugh and grin
Why we cry and don’t know why
The answer is in no other place
It’s our saving grace
There within for eons been
Hidden in our DNA.

Once more I write 2013. Still strange and scary in some way.
Gone, lost, done is the 2012 year.
Whatever I had wanted to accomplish in that year
I did – or – I didn’t.
It has ended now and I can’t change one bit of it.
Regrets? Yes.
Devastating? Most certainly.
Truly heart-warming? Yes, and much more.
Now I must move on, make this new year the best that I can.
Will I have setbacks and heartache?
Most likely.
But I know I will also have experiences that will take me to the top.
Joy, happiness, success and most of all, love.
This I know because I will make it so.
This is my plan. My resolution for this new year.
Come join me, make it your best year yet. Filled with happiness, love and those wonderful experiences that will carry you thru any dark days that do occur.
And be assured, they will happen.
But change that negative, find something positive in even those dark moments.
Make the world a better place because you were here and chose to do so.

Shall we start?

Darwin the Ikea monkey
Born neither wild or free
But in captivity.
It’s always been what he’s seen
Raised like a little man
Brushing teeth
Sleeping arm in arm
With a dedicated mom.
Life was good
But not the way it should play
Until that day on the way
To do a little shopping
He got out.
And in the Ikea parking lot
His life changed forever
Forever
That day.
They whisked him off
From the only mom
He believed was the one
To show him everything
He needed to make his way.
In a cage with other ones
He learns to be not a little man
But a monkey who can stand
And leap from here to there.
The sad thing is
He’ll never be
A monkey
That is free.
It’s not about you or me
It’s about how can we
Make him what he should be
Free.

He’d sit and watch the fire
Stoke the flames
As he listened to the game.
I wonder what was his desire
My Father.

I dreamed last night
And
I don’t know why.
I dreamed last night
Of a time gone by
Of power and might
And travel
At the speed of light.
I dreamed last night
The world is old
We have been here
For years untold.
I dreamed last night
Of losing power and might
Living
In bewilderment and strife.
I dreamed last night
From elsewhere we came
On a flash of light
Brightening the sky
Lighting the night.
This I dreamed last night.
