Method Of Approach May Be Different

June 12, 2012

Method of approach may be different, but we all want the same things from life.
Love and acceptance.
To feel nurturing from our mothers.
Guidance from our fathers.
Companionship, devotion, caring and love from all we love.
And hopefully, love us in return.
Some may rage. Some may quietly glide thru. Others plan and scheme.
No matter.
We all are seeking the same.

Be gentle with your fellow travellers and may they be gentle with you.

You Can Live

June 7, 2012

You can live
In your perfect little house
On your perfect little street
Surrounded by perfect little people
In your perfect little town
Nestled in the perfect little countryside.

Or

You can live the life
That brings you fulfilment
And satisfaction.

Even if its in that
Perfect little house
On your perfect little street
Surrounded by perfect little people
In your perfect little town
Nestled in the perfect little countryside.

It’s your choice. Only yours.

A Doe And Her Baby Fawn – Conclusion

May 23, 2012

This is the last except of what I experienced travelling the back gravel roads.
It was something very special for me.

Slowly I moved forward, the red truck behind me did also.

Two vehicles came from the other way just as I came up beside the fawn. This tiny little baby deer stood looking at all the commotion on the road and there in the woods behind him, was his mom, peeking out of the trees.

We all moved ahead. There were three vehicles now, a van had come up behind the red truck. Just ahead was a corner and as I reached it, I pulled to the side and the red truck pulled up beside of me. The van moved pass us, turning, going on his way.

I said something like “That was pretty special”. The red truck driver answered an emphatic “Yes!” We agreed that we couldn’t move pass the fawn, it was worth waiting to make sure he got to safety.

Off we went on our way feeling, at least for me and I believe also the guy in the red truck, that we had witnessed something special. The doe and her fawn, most likely just grateful to have survived a traumatic situation.

A Doe And Her Baby Fawn – Part 2

May 22, 2012

This is the second part of what I experienced travelling the back gravel roads.
It was something very special.

The fawn walked slowly towards his mom. Wondered if he had been hit, but as I watched him, he seemed to move fine.

His mom was so beside herself. She was a true mom. Her whole presence showed she was desperately trying to get her baby to safety. To get him into the woods, off the road, away from this terror where he could die. Knowing also if she stayed, she too could perish. The horrible dilemma she was in was oblivious.

The fawn was closer to her now and she moved off the road into the grass, then came back out. The fawn ran a bit. I moved slowly ahead then stopped at a safe distance so as not to panic the mom.

She was in the woods, then back out to the grass, to the edge of the road, back to the grass, the woods, the road. The fawn moved closer and closer to her. She disappeared into the woods, the fawn into the grass.

A Doe And Her Baby Fawn

May 21, 2012

I experienced something very special on my way into town travelling the back way on gravel roads.

Ahead in the distance, a doe was frantically running back and forth at the side of the road. Between her and my car was a tiny figure heading slowly towards her. Realizing it was a small fawn, I stopped. Behind me was a red truck that stopped too.

The doe jumped, raced back and forth in a panic. You could see she wanted to get her baby to safety. Even though there was bush all along the side of the road, for some reason she felt he must come up the road to her. She kept backing up, coming ahead, encouraging him, looking back at us in such an obvious dilemma. Get her baby to safety or do what her instincts said she must do to survive, run.

My Teck

May 16, 2012

No hope, no hope
So sad. So very, very sad
For a wonderful dog he is
So wish I could save and
Make him whole and healthy
But not to be
Not to be.

Goodbye my guy,
My friend,
My Mister Man you be
I love you still, I always will
Move on through Heaven’s door
We’ll see in days to come
A better life
I love you Teck
Be free of  pain
No pain for thee.

Goodbye my guy
The wonder dog you be
My heart breaks
Hemorrhaging such heartache
In what I wish wouldn’t be.

Adieu my friend
We’ll meet again
May safe you be
On this your long
Last journey.

There I Am Standing

April 18, 2012

There I am standing
Wondering where I am
And where I am is
Where I’ve been
And where I’m going.
But most of all
It’s where I am.
Where I am now standing
Wondering where I am.
I think.
