You Are Full Of Majesty

April 26, 2016

Sharon's Kitty ~ Painting by Patrice

You are full of majesty
Fulfilling all your destiny
Taking nothing for granted
Softly treading
On this world’s planet
A sweet smile across your face
Nothing of you is not
Full of graceful grace
Majesty is seen
Even in your careful pace.

Our Hearts Grow Old With Sadness

April 25, 2016

Bobby

Our hearts grow old with sadness
You are lost to us in life
Gone to glory in the sky
While your memory lives
Still here in our lives.

May your journey be a lustre
A brilliance in the sky
May your star shine forever
illuminating all those
Who now cry.

Kado Feeling Blue

April 22, 2016

Patrice's avatarPatrice’s Art & Poetry Blog

Kado feeling blue
Feels the pain in his mouth
A tooth or two cracked off
Hurting, drooling too
Kado oh so blue.

Kado feeling blue
Its hard to be
A big guy in pain
And not show it too
Kado oh so blue.

Kado feeling blue
No supper, no dinner
Can’t eat so
Hungry now too
Kado oh so blue.

Kado feeling blue
Doctor pulled that damn tooth
Second one too
Hole size of a quarter
Where once a tooth
Used to chew
Oh Kado feeling blue.

Kado not so blue
Resting peacefully
Had some dinner too!
Life is good
Kado saw the tooth fairy
Kado not so blue.

The Rest

April 21, 2016

Perfect Little House ~ Photo by Patrice

All the rest
It rests in tattered dust
No one picks it up
No one denys or condemns
Just lets it lie in dust
Almost covered up
Nearly gone from sight.

Did it exist?
Did it live and laugh?

Let it rest, let it rest
It’s work is done.

Let Me Know

April 20, 2016

Dark Night Tree ~ Photo by Patrice

Let me know what is right
What I need
To make it thru this dark night.

Hallowed honour makes the mistake
Thinking its important
What’s at stake.

Nothing matters most of all
Just let me know the name, the voice
I need to call.

Beautiful Sun

April 19, 2016

Chipmunk sunning himself ~ Photo by Patrice

Beautiful sun glows light
Filling sky, filling changing night
Beautiful sun does
What nothing else can do
Bringing life
Conceived in the dark of night
Light rises in the sky
As beautiful sun, morning light.

Sadness

April 18, 2016

Ice Storm Aftermath ~ Photo by Patrice

Sadness is
A part of life along with heartache, chaos
Unnecessary strife
No amount of humour will make them go away
They stay
Belonging to those that breathe sadness in their day.

Sadness though
Can too, live in a heart full of love
Along with kindness, gentle touch
And
Unconditional love.

Destined To Travel

April 11, 2016

Road Travelled ~ Photo by Patrice

Destined to travel a winding road
Occasionally rough, sometimes cold.

Staying to the path can be hard
Any presence must be bold.

Looking at that what lives on my path
My feet move to the left, then to the right.

Forward, backward, all is and seems right
As my destiny travels the road to the light.

Sadness Is Something

April 7, 2016

Blue Violets ~ Photo by Patrice

Sadness is something
Sometimes, I want to be immersed in
Crying, silently
No joy to share
Not a drop, empty, hollow
I just can’t stop the affair.

Sadness does live with me
I allow her in
She stays with me
I don’t love her much
But still she’s been a comfort
Living here, amid my lonely thoughts.

Sadness, she pulls me in
Holding, engulfing  me
In a place that’s sad
So lonely
Crying, lying deep within
Becoming such a tragic sin.
