I Close My Eyes Just To Feel My Heart

November 12, 2012

Dedicated to Sue, who has lost her beloved horse, Yorkie.
Our thoughts are with you.

I close my eyes just to feel my heart
Feel the pain
Please make it to depart
Lost to all never more to be
The call I loved and adored from thee.

Feel the sadness reign
Beginning down the path
Of no gladness, ecstasy
Only sadden, weeping pain.

You have gone, lost to me
Remorse is not the word
I need or want to see
Tears once of joy shattered
Left, gone no more to employ
Only rivers long, tragic and so deep
Flowing with overwhelming sadness
Do they weep.

Brought down to my knees
Blows of anguish
Anger
Morose disbelief.

Truly thought you’d live forever
Now know is never going to be
Love you ever
Ever please believe
Wanted never
You to leave me never
Ever leave me never please.

Now gone I oh so weep
I steep my heart in sorrow
Feel your presence and
Tomorrow I’ll close my eyes
Just to feel my heart
As it bleeds and weeps.

See The Mess And Learn

November 9, 2012

See the mess and learn
How to clean it up
Do what it takes to make it not
Proud and bold step right up
To the job of cleaning up.

Not your room
I think not
Most likely just your life
Needs cleaning up.

Make room for order
Get rid of strife
Happiness and joy make it flow
Help you ease thru trouble
Trepidation, evil might
All that slows the clean up fight.

Never mind
What’s come before
Focus
On the present life.

Clean it up
Make it right
Smile a lot, see the light
For you’ve seen a mess
And made it right in this
Your own clean up fight.

My Soul Knows The Way

November 8, 2012

My soul knows the way
The way I must go
On my journey road.

Not the one that may be easy
Not the one I’ve been told
Just the one made for me
And my living, loving soul.

Whether its hard or easy
We will see and watch unfold
All the lovely lessons
This I know, I’ve been told.

Love to have you along with me
Love to share the road
My soul, she knows the way
On this wondrous, unchartered road.

On The Fifteenth You Were Gone

November 7, 2012

On the fifteenth you were gone
Gone to the afterlife and beyond.
Sweet and tender, strong and bold
Loyalty so much untold.

Gently sleeping away from me
Off into eternity
Love your strength
Sadness, missing oh so much
Never easy, never will forget
All the things when
You and I were young.

Love you dear. Love you strong
We will miss you now
Now that you have gone
To a place where we will meet
And play the game we remember sweet
For so long.

I love you dear. You are the one
Who sung a song of life
And made all fulfilled.
But alas
Its now the time
The missing has to start
Remember long
I love you with all my heart.

This Is What Happens

November 6, 2012

This is what happens
In the deep reaches
Of my mind.

No one understands it
Quite like you
Me and thine.

Blow it up to proportion
Let it stand alone
There all will see it
As it makes it on it’s own.

I Can See The Words

November 2, 2012

I can see the words
They tell me of the time
When hearts were loved
And words all rhymed.

They tell me of the joy
The majesty and triumphant gladness
No casting of badness
No broken bones
Or hearts lost in a world
Filled with madness.

These words they fill the place
With love, beauty, grace
I accept the honour
Bestowed here upon me
Of seeing life with words that
Never conquer
Just for the sake of me.

Sleep Is Good

November 1, 2012

Sleep is good
We too must rest
Poised upon the heavenly crest
There to see
All the work we’ve done
And now must rest
Sleeping
Drooling on our chest.

Strangers Meet

October 31, 2012

Strangers meet
Smile and greet
Never again to see
One another
In this life
We know and be.

No remorse
No sadness
Nor gladness
Just strangers smiling
When they meet.

In The Hospital

October 30, 2012

In the hospital
What’s the matter?
They are busy and I lie here
Can’t decipher all this clatter.

Pain is deep
But not a smatter
Compared to those around.

Want so dear not to be here
Go home, I want to go home
That is what’s the matter.

Looked in the mirror
An old lady peered
Looking back at me.

Smile at her, be nice to her
For she will be the one to get
You out of here.

Human Kind

October 26, 2012

A child watches helplessly
As a hunter shoots her pet crow.
What part of that is Human Kind?

A teen is beaten about the head
Until she falls to the ground.
Kicked until she stands.
It then starts over again.
What part of that is Human Kind?

A young woman pleads
For her dog’s life
A rifle is pointed at her head
And she is told
‘Stop crying or I’ll shoot you too”.
What part of that is Human Kind?

~

Human Kind
Is when a police officer
Could have given a ticket
Towed the truck.
But instead
Leads you out of the dark
From lost back onto the right road.
That is Human Kind.

Human Kind
Is when four young men stop
To give a ride and support
To two young girls
One sobbing, stranded
Somewhere in the mountains
After being kicked out for refusing.
That is Human Kind.

Human Kind
Is when a friend
Wraps their arms around you
As you scream in anguish
Because a loved one has died.
That is Human Kind.

Human Kind
Is when a gentle soul
Helps you pick up the pieces
Of your broken heart
And put it back together.
That is Human Kind.

Be Human Kind.
