Many of you know me for my poetry, affirmations, and photographs. . .
but another part of my creative life is
Painting Pet Portraits
It’s an art that connects me to the spirit of the animal I’m painting – and often, to the people who love them most.
My latest painting is of a strong spirited kitty named Loki.
From what I’ve been told, Loki has a heart full of love and knows exactly what he wants!
For me, while I painted him, I could feel him watching, curious as to what I was doing. And while this painting commission came during a time of personal heartache for me – there was Loki. His look offered me quiet encouragement and in a gentle way, I felt supported just by having him in front of me.
