Bright in the night
The sky illuminates my life
Clouded troubles just float by
No remorse, no cry.
Ground coming up
More so to stop
The heart of my soul
From giving up.
Not and never alone
Standing on earth
In a mist
Of heaven held love.

Sunset rests and meditates
Sees life in all its states
Smiling sweetly, caressing care
This is needed, we must share.
Love of life not destitute
Living on the edge of gratitude
You are mine and I don’t care
To hold the reins of any old despair.
Travel thru bright, clear day
See the sunset rise
Filling hearts far into
Lovely evening tide.

Soft and gentle
Strong and hard
Much to learn
Lots to discard.
Be you patience
Kind and bright
For whatever
Comes tonight.

Deadly night giving way
To joy of a dawning new day
Darkness swept away.
Bright, clear light
Soothing frightened spirits
Embracing tattered souls.
Raising up their kind hearts
Holding til they alone can do
Tragic loss gaining something new.
Be kind, be felt
For you in turn
Shall do.
