I have lived before
I have lived a life
In the distant past
Good or bad I had
A life before memories
Faded
In the distant past
They didn’t last
As new ones evolved
Different but built on
That life lived
In the distant past.

I am here and you can’t see me
I’m hiding
Hiding in normalcy

You walked a mile
You walked to town to buy groceries
You walked for fun
And
I think to clear your head
Of
Things not necessary.
Your quiet way, your giggle
Your wave
As you walked
In the middle of the road
I miss these
I miss
Everything
About you already
But
Most of all
I miss you.
There’s a chair for you
To rest on
As you walk
This last walk, this journey
You’re now taking.
Please, when you get there
Let us know
You made it safely
That
You’re resting nicely
You’re laughing
With your old friends
You made it there.
Walk carefully, walk gently
Sweet Patsy
We miss you
But
We know you now walk
Freely
With not a care.
~ Patrice
Rest in Peace Patsy ❤️💞❤️

A million miles away
The sun shines
No matter
The time of day.
My heart must bring
That sun from far
To my day, my walk
My way.
Holding close all
That’s good
All I need to make
It thru today.
From a million miles away
The sun shines
Shines on me
As I’m on my way.

Tomorrow comes
Then
It ends
Taking place in today
Passing
Through to the past
Ending in history
To be
Retold once again.

No more
Can I see
What’s ahead, what’s behind
of
Me.
Only now
Only this moment, this time
that’s
Me.
All I have
In the history I know
Is part
of
Me.
Every time, everywhere
I’ve been
just
Me.

My heart cries
Beats and sighs
For
No more running
Thru fields without a care
No more laughing
Nearly falling down the stairs.
My heart cries
Tears of joy
Seeing birth come forth
Embraced in love and care
All things sweet
Loving ones share.
My heart cries
Whimpers
As
Old ones pass away.
My heart cries
For those
Who survive catastrophes
Beyond belief
Beyond anything
One should see.
My heart cries
But
No one knows
Cause I keep it hidden
Hidden
Deep inside.
Where
My heart cries.

Quietly, silently
I hear
The thunder roar
Sending a message
Down
The valley’s corridor.
Will there be an answer
Will the Earth
Reply
Succumb, or implore?
Not mine to know
But
Just to hear
The thunder roar.
