A eagle sits up in a tree
resting
after fishing salmon
in
our tiny stream.
Majestic and noble
he doesn’t seem to see
the trials, tribulations
I’m burdened with
as I too wander by
that
tiny, fish laden stream.
He brings it all into perspective
he makes me see
life goes on
regardless
of what I want
I need
I perceive.

Hear it overflow.
Running down
The tree covered
Downslope.
Bringing fresh
And lasting life
To all it touches.
Bringing life
To those who live
Here upon the crest
Of ever life.
In hills of lovely
Lovely autumn life.
