Beautiful White Neither Dark Nor Cold

November 23, 2013

Snow Blanket ~ photo by Patrice

Beautiful white neither dark nor cold
In the night holding close
Tender ones needing hearts warmed
By a cloak of soft winter snow.

Our Neighbour Died

November 22, 2013

Wayne's Home ~ photo by Patrice

Our neighbour died
He passed away
Gone to heaven
Just today.

Sadness, remorse
Deep regret
Don’t know what happened
Just yet.

Lights on, police car
Soft voices heard
All seems extremely quiet
Even calm.

Most likely
They can’t believe
He’s gone.

Passed away
In the night they say
Just heard he’s gone
Gone yesterday.

Great guy
No more to say
Our neighbour died
He passed away.

Quiet

November 21, 2013

Pink Tropical Flower ~ photo by Patrice

Quiet
Quietly moving past eternity
Into depths full of ecstasy.

Pause
Step forth into your realm
Saturated with the crown
Of great things done and to do.

All
All this, this is you.

Snow Lies And Blows

November 20, 2013

Stormy Road ~ photo by Patrice

Snow lies and blows
Across the space not enclosed
Cold and frigid it has no soul
Just blowing, blowing cold.

Why Do We Try?

November 19, 2013

Rainy Waterfall ~ photo by Patrice

Why do we try?
Why do we cry?
Why do we die?

What else is there to learn
When we’ve learnt it all?

Silly oh so small is the mind
Maybe that wonders such things
Holding those thoughts
Not moving forward at all.

Why?
Wondering that’s all.

Hydro Out There Is No Doubt

November 18, 2013

Fallen Tree ~ photo by Patrice

Hydro out there is no doubt
Smash and crash
Is what the wind has been
Whining, howling across the span
Bending, breaking trees
Dashing dreams and all things
Seen, unseen.

Mutter, sputter does no good
Hydro out
As the onslaught marches
Destroying its way thru
Listen, listen to the howling wind
Crashing, smashing thru.

Nothing Is Never

November 16, 2013

giraffe ~ art by Patrice

Nothing is never
And will always be
Something that never
Feels responsibility.

That is what it is
All around and down
Is what it is.

Sadly, sadly
Nothing never is.

All Three In A Row

November 15, 2013

All three in a row
Sitting, resting nowhere to go.

Pleasant and mild
The height of haute style
Sitting, resting
Certainly to be there awhile.

Ah, doesn’t it make you smile.

Today Someone Died A Long Time Ago

November 14, 2013

Today someone died a long time ago
He changed my life
The course of things that could have been
And my time with him
May not have been so smooth
But I remember him
Yes, I remember him from so long ago.

Adieu, may peace and God be with you
My love, my friend adieu.
