Crocus about to bloom
Springing from the doom
Coming up
Amongst the snow
Blooms of white
Lavender grow
So it won’t be long
Til we see
All those blooms
From here to eternity.

I look around and see
Exotic birds flying
Pass me
Bluejay, nuthatch
And chickadees
With a house wren
Every now and then.
While a cardinal
Sings a song
I don’t recall just now
I see a hummingbird
Hovering all around
Of me.
Ah, the beauty
The beauty
That surrounds me.

My journey here may
Soon be done
But all the joy and happiness
Filled with love will live
Will live forever on.
I won’t forget you
Have no regrets
For I have loved
And you were the one.
Honesty, devotion
Are just a few
Of the emotions
I have towards you.
No harshness did I feel
Only love in this life
This life I shared
And lived with you.
So on your journey
You must go
And let it be known
By your side
I’ll be forever, ever more.

Tenderness, sweetness, butternut squash
Mystery in giving not taking back
Flowing freely
Never ever looking back.
Dogma facilitates masking slack
Not telling the truth
Only giving back.
We are one
With what we are
Shovelling shit, taking pills
For now we are feeling
Feeling bizarre.
Will this help us
Find the tenderness we crave?
Or feel sweetness, butternut squash
So far, far far away.
