Sultry humid, tired and dry
Looking for languid
Solemn I cry
No redemption neither remorse
I stand corrected
Powered with force.
Softly gentle, kindly kind
I trudge onward
In a mindless mind.
No heaven to help me
No devil to care
Follow the angry, uphold the rare
Sight of forgiveness, gasp for air
Holding on
I hope I’m spared.

When the rains fell down
The sky was blue
Feeling all the misery
That’s come to you.
Tears of sadness
Heartache blue
Rains fell, not only crying
But to comfort you.

A butterfly came
To my feeder today
She fluttered and fluttered
Then flew away.
Sweet nectar she searches
And sips with a touch
No matter the flower
Sweetness a must.
A butterfly came
To my feeder today
She fluttered and fluttered
Then flew away.

Know the reason why
Don’t believe your soul
Would ever lie.
Accept its truth
Don’t deny your heart
Knows the reason why.

Never before did I
Feel the work of the Lord
Residing in everything.
Never before did I
Find a way to heal
The hurt felt when I was left
In a terrible bind.
Never before did I
See the magic a heart can do
To mend with love
Given unconditionally.
Never before did I
Be in the realm
Of a beautiful soul
Such as thee.

The sky is beauty
Flowers be
The most beautiful
Anyone could ever see.
Summers’ come
It’s weaving a warm, soft web
Enveloping all spring’s brought
From winter’s dread.

A photo album
Large and small
Depicts the life
We’ve had so far.
Not the heartache
Nor the scorn
Just the pleasures
To be adorned.
No master plan
Is in the works
Just something sweet
All fancied up.
A token of a lovely time
When the sun shone
And you were mine.
~ Patrice

Can’t help but see
The world living, unfolding
As it should be.
Can’t help but feel
The soft and gentle caring
Beneath my feet.
Can’t help but hear
A song of love
Filling each of my ears.
Can’t help but live
A life full of harmony
Can’t help but see all this, around me.
