How much can you take?
How much can you stand?
Where will it end?
Is there
no conscience
no
equality
no line in the sand?
The world awaits your decision
the world hopes your eyes
are
not blinded
by
lies told
again and again.
Hopefully
we’ll stand
together
support one another
as
friends can
When lies
brutality
rise their ugly heads
once more, once again.

Confusion, despair
Don’t know
Which way to twist.
Fighting heartache
Fighting a vacuum
No air.
Survival is the call
Even if it may feel
Your back’s to the wall.
Stand true
Stand and know
There’s only one you.
You are the one
That’ll come thru
Brave, wonderful you.

Decisions to make
Without hours to decide
A path right for me
No one else can see
Nor can I tell someone else
What is best for me.
Decisions that are right
Not made in haste
Maybe in the middle of the night
Don’t second guess
Believe
Let go of the rest.
Decisions that see
Answers small, big or wee
Yours whether you take
The left path or veer right
Go with what your soul tells you
Tells you to do, tonight.
