St. Paddy’s Day
A custom from a land far away
Brought here by those coming
To make a new life in a new land
But bringing too a piece of the old homeland.
St. Paddy’s Day
Isn’t it grand to celebrate it
Across the world, across the land.

Yes, I am
I am whatever you thought
I am here
I am happy
I am doing my best
I am in love with the greatness of life
I am
Yes, I am.

Snow blows a crisp cold white
Deafening on this spring morning night
Flying by with a unrepentive no melting cry
Once again covering all going deep down inside.
Some will die in this cold white mess
As snow hungers to hold a grip
Til no life stirs beneath its icy depth
Breeding death, anger and remorse
Snow blows, snow blows
Making life full of needless stress.

Optimistic with the present
Couldn’t have foretold the past
But getting by it all together
At last, at last.
The calendar tells the date
The clock tells the time
My heart knows it ain’t
The day nor time that’ll get me
To that perfect present spot
In my time.

Chances are chances
Be the reason
We flee chances seen
Chances are chances.
Chances are chances
Don’t just exist
But take your chances
Believe
Make them chances
To living
Not only to exist
Chances are chances.

Seek the answer
Letting it envelop you
In a place
Warm and sweet
Close your eyes
See
Exactly what you need
Spread out your fingers
Feel
And touch the answer
The answer that you seek

Eventually
All will come to an end
Eventually
All the steel girders will bend
Eventually
Every season will thrive and die
Eventually
The answers you sought will make you cry
Eventually
The happiness foretold you won’t deny
Eventually
All will be all you have
Eventually.

Sadness has fallen
Upon my heart
Pouring over molten hot
No saviour can save me
Not from this sadness
That breaks my heart.

Long shadows crease the grass
Modifying bark on a watching tree
As sunlight fights
With the night all day long
Winning only in the morning bright.
Sleep at night
Feel the shadows
Creeping across the grass
Rising up
Holding darkness in it’s grasp.
Your heart is safe
Shadows will see to that.
