Oh Teddy Bear Green

Oh Teddy Bear Green what have you seen?
The ups and downs, the lows, the highs.

Oh Teddy Bear Green what has become
Of the love we knew when we were young?

Oh Teddy Bear Green I held you close
You held my heart.

Oh Teddy Bear Green my secrets told
To your listening ways
Not a peep was said no trust betrayed.

Oh Teddy Bear Green
When I fell you cushioned me
When I feared you stood between.

Oh Teddy Bear Green you comforted me
When no one else seemed to care
You helped me, you’ve always been there.

Oh Teddy Bear Green have I become
The one you saw and guided me to be?

Oh Teddy Bear Green what secrets are kept
Beneath that loving Teddy Bear?

Oh Teddy Bear Green

The Good Women

March 8, 2018

Celebrate the Women in your Life

The good women in my life
The ones who made me see and live this life
Ones that sacrificed
Made the way, laughed
Cried, died.

I salute you
Glad to have known and learnt from you
The women
The good women who made me
The woman I came to be in this my life.

Looking For

March 7, 2018

Costa Rican Raccoon ~ Photo by Brent

Hoping, looking
For a breathing space
To be in harmony
Living life as I know
I can and should be.

Trust me, trust you
Trusting the world
To be what I need
What I’m looking for
And that I seek.

Sweet Dreams

March 6, 2018

Rottie Sleeping ~ Photo by Patrice

Sweet dreams come slowly
Quietly moving thru
Leaving behind visions
Memories I hold onto
Sometimes vivid
Then maybe vague
They play out active
There inside my head.

I feel I could touch
Hold tight
The figures in sweet dreams
That come to me
In the darkness
And early morning light.

When I Think Of Things

March 5, 2018

Beardie in a Pot ~ Illustration by Patrice

When I think of things that’ve passed
I wonder
Where they came to live
In what heart do they survive
And will they be known
In the future’s past?

I saw God today
He came in such a mysterious way
No bolts of lighting, no angels swayed
Just God
I saw God today.

I Remember Memories

March 1, 2018

Monty boating ~ Photo by Patrice

I remember memories
Both sad and joyous

Memories

 They come to me
When I don’t notice

Memories

My mind will be elsewhere
And suddenly they’re there

Memories

Real or imagined
Staring at me
Laughing hysterically

Memories

Nothing seems to matter
Cause I remember
Memories.

May
Your heart be full of joy
Your words convey pleasure
Your eyes see pure beauty
Your ears believe.

Get Things Done

February 27, 2018

Bull Riding ~ Photo by Patrice

Get things done
Don’t let them lie
In a puddle of confusion
Surrounded by uncertainty
Let them flourish
Live and love
Let not the hiccups dominate
What certainly could be
A good, great life with no strife.

Terrible Times Do Occur

February 26, 2018

Dead Turtle in Costa Rica ~ Photo by Patrice

Terrible times do occur
Marching lines, men’s faces obscure
No more joy, lightly skipping breeze
Heartache, morse pretty bleak.

Then the sun shines oh so bright
Lighting the way both day and night
No more tears, sadness blame
All is well once again.
