Husk Falls

May 20, 2014

Seeds, Tree and Squirrel ~ Photo by Patrice

Husk falls, dropping to the ground
Seeds of wonder spattered all around.

Dead or dying not necessarily their fate
Taking food, taking strength
From the earth, the ground on which
They were spat, they grow and create.

Slowly, quietly up to mighty trees
Strong and wondrous they unfold
Dropping seeds that too
Like magic wonder, grow.

A Tear Drop

February 11, 2014

Icicle Plants ~ Photo by Patrice

A tear drop
Runs down my cheek
Taking with it all I cherish
All I seek.

A tear wells up
Clouding my eyes
So they can’t see
The pain devouring me.

A tear drops quietly
On lips unable to cry
Any words that fit
These feelings I dispise.

A tear falls
Down my cheek
Landing on my broken heart
Whose pain won’t go away.

A tear flows down
Taking with it all love
All joy
I hoped I’d found.

I feel
A tear running down.

Sharing Thoughts

January 24, 2014

Sharing thoughts in the quiet of our minds
Touching souls with our hearts on fire
Soothing wounds in the depth
Of things that matter.

Calling out to all that doubt
Pulling them in
To shoulder some of the load
So no one travels a road alone.

Quietly be everything you need to be
Call it ‘Me’
