No makeup on today
Or yesterday
Skin festering, itching burning
Hives have made their way
Onto my face, my neck
Above my heart
Everywhere it seems
Gasping for some respite
Scratched raw
Went seeking help
Not once but twice
Yesterday.
The world has turned again
For today
I have my peace, my rest
Skin reduced to normal
Not like yesterday
On rising this morning, today
No more itching
Scratching
Like yesterday.

Yet see it pass away
Becoming a time in

No longer tomorrow
Now today I’m living

I saw God today
He came in such a mysterious way
No bolts of lighting, no angels swayed
Just God

Hallowed ground rises
Beneath my feet
Spreading joy for all those that seek
A life better than yesterday
As a heart beats just to stay
Here with us in today
Soft, tender feet tread
On gentle ground
Feeling love all around
Making no enemies friend nor foe
Only love
Laughter is what they sow.

Making decisions
Some I don’t like
Making them in darkness
And board daylight.
Answering all questions
That’ll make things right
Make people believe in me

I don’t have all answers
Still decisions
Decisions will be made

A butterfly came
To my feeder today
She fluttered and fluttered
Then flew away.
Sweet nectar she searches
And sips with a touch
No matter the flower
Sweetness a must.

Another month starts today
Another path lies
Focused in some way
On the dream manifesting itself
In all waking, living things.
Gently, quietly step upon the step
That brings all you want, all you need
To the self that sings
Nature’s beauty
Daring, just to dream.

Don’t wander, falter in anyway
Sacrifice your heartache
Throw out those that naysay
Stay in the hour
In the moment
Every second, everyday
For all time
Today.

Is a day unlike any other day
Filled with life
Filled with strife
And too, things nice.
Must make it my day
Do it my way
And at the end, at the night
I’ll look, see what a wondrous day
Was given to me.
Then I can peacefully sleep
In anticipation of what

Will bring to me.
