I write the words that come
I see them in their entirety
some are in colour
others grey
altogether they make
the words I write
I say.
Tomorrow
they’ll be different
they’ll say something I never thought of
not til that instant
when they came and I wrote
wrote what they told me
to say.

No one knows nor do they care
mainly
mainly just because
they weren’t there.
Cause it all to be forgotten
Left behind
pages wrote, time sodden
with the tears of those
left behind and forgotten.

Listening for the words to form
Pictured in my mind they come
They take their form
On the page they rest
Now said, now wrote.
I thank the presence
That brought them to my mind
Formed the thoughts to convey
And then
Without another word
Quietly slipped away.
