Keep me close
Keep me quiet
Silent sounds
Roar
Without saying
Anything profound.

Joyous words
Cannot speak
Heartache thumps
Echoing thoughts
Not uttered
Not to keep.

Surround me now
With love and joy
Embrace
My head, my heart
Let me go
To those that love.

Stay in touch
With loving souls
Sleeping in a bed
So soft
Never hearing another
Horrid thought.
