You heard me
I know you heard me
but
didn’t say a thing
to save my day
my life

Your eyes didn’t smile
nor
did you take me
in your arms
telling me, saying words
to stop the tears
the cries

You walked away
your back to me
like
you didn’t hear
hear me cry

But

I know you heard me
I know
you heard me cry.
