There seems
not to be
a lot of sense, logic
nor
harmony
basking itself
in
sunny beauty. 

All that seems
to exist
is
anger
hatred and strife
screaming obscenities
throughout
the long cold, horrid night. 

Let me
feel
the gift of love
enveloped
in
beauty, happiness
near
people who care. 

Not those who
only seek
to
destroy. 

Oh please, please
let me.
