The End Of Winter

The end of winter, Please be near. No more blizzards No more watching ‘up to their bellies’ deer. Just the soft trickle of springtime rain As it washes away winter rubbish once again. The chirp of robins hunting worms Green, green grass alongside blooming herbs. Yes, that’s what I am looking for, That’s what I need. Freezing is Freezing

Freezing is freezing
And then there is freezing.
Not much else can be said
Other than it’s freezing.
I mean it’s freezing and freezing.
Keep yourself toasty, snugly warm
Never think freezing, only warm, warm warm.
Because it’s freezing
I mean it’s freezing and freezing.
Don’t go out, stay yourself in
Get a good book, maybe a bottle of gin
Because outside, it’s freezing
I mean it’s freezing and freezing.
No one will mind or notice you gone,
Because their busy, keeping from freezing,
Keeping themselves warm,
Because it’s freezing
I mean it’s freezing and freezing.
See you in spring
As the buds open and flower.
When it’s hot, not freezing
I mean not freezing and freezing,
But hot, hot and warm.
