Wondering Once Again

May 23, 2014

Study of hands and paint brushes ~ Illustration by Patrice for New Chalice Brushes

Wondering

Once again.

Wondering

What is best?

Wondering

If I’ll make the right decision.

Wondering

Will it affect the rest?

Wondering

What will come to be?

Wondering

What will happen to me?

– No answers come but still –

Still I’m wondering.

Wondering

Just the same.

So Much Could Happen

May 22, 2014

Beautiful Raining ~ Photo by Patrice

So much
Could happen
If I knew the reason
Why I came here
What I need to see
Need to be.

See far meadows
See trees blowing
In the breeze.

Are these
These what I need
Need to see?

Breathe in salt air
As it crashes
Sinks back
To emerald depths
In a deep blue sea.

Will I reach these?
These I need to see
Need to hear
Those I do so need?

Then a sigh
I hear, I hear
My life is right
I’m where I need
Right where I need
To be.

Some Things Go Around

May 21, 2014

Heather's Shelties ~ Watercolour by PatriceSome things go around
Same as before
Nothing changed
Just the same, once more.

Once more
Once more  some things go around
Go around
Same as before.

Husk Falls

May 20, 2014

Seeds, Tree and Squirrel ~ Photo by Patrice

Husk falls, dropping to the ground
Seeds of wonder spattered all around.

Dead or dying not necessarily their fate
Taking food, taking strength
From the earth, the ground on which
They were spat, they grow and create.

Slowly, quietly up to mighty trees
Strong and wondrous they unfold
Dropping seeds that too
Like magic wonder, grow.

The Morning Sun Rises

May 18, 2014

Rising Fiddle Head ~ Photo by Patrice

The morning sun rises
On a day that’s
My brothers Birthday!

Brightly shinning sun
Waving branches on a soft breeze
Delicate opening flower petals
Gently rolling water
Snacking squirrels
And a prancing baby fawn
They all say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
To my brother on his Birthday.

Have a great day my brother
And may I say too
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Shingles Have Taken Over My Face

May 9, 2014

Black Coral ~ photo by Brent

Shingles have taken over my face
Pain and tingling, ravage taking place.

Pills medicate leaving sleepy
Laying down the only peace.

Mending now, I’ll take a rest
Hoping soon to be in a better place
With no shingles on my face.

For Absolutely No Reason

April 26, 2014

Horse and Cowboy ~ illustration by Patrice

For absolutely no reason
I’m sent to the past
Made to remember things
I’d rather pass.

For no reason
They breathe life again
Making me remember
All over again and again.

The outcome is no different
The end is the same
For absolutely no reason
I remember again.

Nothing Comes To Mind

April 25, 2014

Morning Sun ~ photo by Patrice

Nothing comes to mind
Resting easy
Gazing, looking at the sky.

No thoughts stay
They all float away
On a breeze filled with giggly feelings.

Nothing comes to mind or stays
It’s just a lighthearted, quiet day.

Habits, Traditions

April 21, 2014

Habits, traditions
They keep me on my way
They make me feel secure
As I go about my life
My week, my day.

Every now and then
I break free
Dare to be adventurous
Searching for something
That I before haven’t seen.

It’s still nice thou
To sit back
Secure in a habit, a tradition
Where I can relax
At peace, in that known position.
