Read a sentence
Write a word
Hold the past
Create the unheard
See the future
Make it real
Now in the present
Feel, feel.

When you see myself
You see someone else
Not the one I want to be
But the one I let you see.
Therefore
I will try to appear to be
The person who’s good for you
And most of all the best of me.

Let me tell you a story
Of things I cannot grasp
Holding on to everything
Just as if it was the last
Time I’d see you
The last moment to escape
All things I abhor about you
Holding onto ones
That make me understand you
But please make no mistake
It is a story
A story I will relate.

I feel the sadness, the dying life
Into hibernation
No movement til the unfrozen
Comes back, springs to life.
Melancholy knowing
The ground will hold still
Covered in snow
And frozen ice.
Through cycles of the land
Eons of living life
The world changes showing
Birth, growing, living, dying
In seasons of life.

Travelling down a no return road
Going forward pass signs
On this winding, bending road
That tell me what’s ahead
Sometimes full of anticipation
Sometimes only dread.
Going forward
Not looking back
Not using a rearview mirror
To see behind
There’s no use in using that.
On the side of this my road
I’m passing beauty there
Just up to me to behold.
My salvation
May be at the end
Of this my own long road
But the journey to that place
Is up to me to unfold.

My heart soars, my heart rides
Waves of trusting love
Felt in this world where I abide.

I know
The world goes round
I know what has been
Comes back around
I know my sorrow and my joy
All come and go
Leaving feelings
Sometimes I don’t want to know
Then again I know
What is now does not last
It comes to past then goes
As all the world does
This I know.
