In the forest I found
A house, a home
So profound.
No windows to shed light
But a cozy home, a place for respite
Adorned with flowers pink and white
A bell to toll when someone
Strange comes lurking
Late at night.
A front door I can’t find
Yet welcome are all
Who poke their head inside.
May you see this house
So profound
May you enjoy all it has to give
There in the forest
This house, this home
That I found.

Why have I come?
Where will I go?
Answers here
But
Do they show
The world I’ll live in
Places I’ll go
Feelings I’ll feel?
Answers
I will or will not know.

When I feel
The tenderness
The soft calling
From my heart
Let me begin to process
All these things
I feel
In my head
In my heart.

Let me lie at your feet
My life in disarray
Let me see you seek
The good in everyday
Let me feel your heart beat
Goodness with every beat
And finally
Let me be part of all
You do and say
All my life
In every way.

Can’t understand
Why the world allows
Sickness
Sadness to have command.
Can’t understand
How we got from here
To a place with no grace
No gentle kind.
Can’t understand
Can’t understand

Fly away, fly away
The day is unfolding
The temperature’s cold
Not smouldering
Fly away, fly away
Come back
Amid spring flowers
For now is the time
Time to fly
Fly away, fly away.

Busy thinking of
All the things
That must be done
The minutes needed
Time left over
Is next to none.
Busy thinking how
Can I complete all this
Then remember
In this world
In the scheme of things
All will be done.
Busy thinking
It will be accomplished
When its needed
When I need
Just need
All these things.

I have not forgot and hoping for a better world to come. In which we share love, courtesy, appreciation and forgiveness ❤

I forgot
What day this was
I forget if a saddened sun shone
I forget what I had for lunch.
But
I didn’t forget the thousands that did die
I didn’t forget those that did get out alive
I haven’t forgot you helped those survive.
I can not forget the clouds of smoke
Rising ash, people stunned, sirens wailing
Unholy hell reigning
It seemed to last I have not forgot.
I can not forget
A silence as planes flew into concrete
Smashing trust, crushing hopes
This I won’t and have not forgot.

A hummingbird came
To my window yesterday
She pleaded and begged
Me not to put away
That feeder which fills
Her each, everyday.
She needs calories
To fly away
On an epic journey
To warm, hot lands
Far far away.
Maybe tomorrow
She’ll leave
Before the snow flies
And the leaves
Are deceased.
So now, today
She pleads
Fill it up, leave it be
Help her get ready
For her long, long
Epic journey.
