Will I Show You Who I Am

February 15, 2017

Farmhouse Face and Lilacs ~ Photo by Patrice

Will I show you who I am
Will I reveal the face
I know I’ve been?

Will the lines of tomorrow
Be etched
Across my taunt skin?

Will the ones
That happened yesterday
Be still there
In a full or forced grin?

I don’t know the answer
Cause you see
I don’t know who I’ve been.

It’s Time The Master Said

February 11, 2017

Costa Rica Sunset - Photo by Patrice

It’s time the master said

To live without fear

Without dread

Back to the heart

That rises fine and true

Keeps the soul warm

Surrounding you.

It’s time the master said

Hold your head high

Reach to the sky

Make no one sad

Nor deny

The feelings you feel.

It’s time

It’s time the master said.

Waters Rush

February 3, 2017

Waters Rush - Photo by Patrice

Waters rush

Insanity a must

As the waves come

Crashing down.

No respite

No delight

Harrowing thunder

Is the sound.

Water courses

Forces all

To come with it

Or to drown.

Waters rush

Listen

Listen

To the sound.

When I See

January 23, 2017

Last used July 18/19

When I see

The beauty

The realm that is you

That is me

Then I understand

How earth is made universally

No more hidden virtues

No more what if

I did that

All is clear

Rendered in a cohesive life

Like this

Like that.

Experience Life

January 17, 2017

C9245A95-A900-4C08-829E-CD889610ABF9

Experience life

Experience joy

Watch the tide rise

The heart breathe

A pounding employed

See the birds fly

A mockingbird cry

Feel the wind blow

Above and beneath

The evening sky

No remorse employed

Regrets not even a few

All life is abound

With joyous blessings too.

The Answer Came To Me

January 13, 2017

Patrice's avatarPatrice’s Art & Poetry Blog

The answer came to me
Not in a flash of light
Nor as a wave crashing in the night
That those past lives lived
Come to us in a way
So simple and so straight away
They come in our DNA.

We remember things gone by
And don’t know why
But the reason is
They are in our DNA.

Such as when you think
You’ve been here before
Think again
For you have been
It’s all written in your DNA.

They tell us what we need
What will make us pleased
It’s all there in our DNA.

When you think you’ve been
In this situation once again
It’s most likely true
The blueprints shows us
Thru and thru all that’s written
There in our DNA.

Why we laugh and grin
Why we cry and don’t know why
The answer is in no other place
It’s our saving grace
There within for eons…

How Do I Know

January 12, 2017

How do I know
When to go
When to stay?

No one can
Tell me
At least not today.

Maybe tomorrow
When
Its another day.

Then I’ll know
When to go
When to stay.

Are Our Thoughts Real

January 11, 2017

Monkey Head Rock in CostaRica ~ Photo by Patrice

Are our thoughts real
Or dreams we lived
In bed at night
Moving thru
An existence surreal
Living as life.

Are the things we see
Real or imagery
Will they move in life
Or just be known
Seen
In the realm of night.

World’s Face

January 10, 2017

Mulmur Hills Farmland ~ Photo by Patrice

I fell off the world’s face
Down into the depths
Of disgrace
No hope, no saving grace
Mired deep
In a unholy place.

Then out of that depth
A saviour came
Putting his arms around
Making me claim my place
In blessed, holy time.

I live
Making no mistakes
Doing no crime
I see the world’s true face
It is such a wondrous place
And is now mine.

Decisions

January 5, 2017

Lion & Rhino Standoff ~ Pastel Art by Patrice

Decisions to make
Without hours to decide
A path right for me
No one else can see
Nor can I tell someone else
What is best for me.

Decisions that are right
Not made in haste
Maybe in the middle of the night
Don’t second guess
Believe
Let go of the rest.

Decisions that see
Answers small, big or wee
Yours whether you take
The left path or veer right
Go with what your soul tells you
Tells you to do, tonight.
