Can’t see where I’m going
nor
where I’ve been
the road is rough
too many bends
for me.
Will I come
out to the open?
See the path before me
gently sloping
to a valley full of fun
no sadness nor depression
so deep.
Hopefully
this is what I’ll see
will be.

Stomach tied in a knot
Don’t know what is, what’s not
Blessed be the ones
That know their path, their way
No one need show.
Me, is it me alone
Doesn’t know the way
Can’t see the trail
Lost in woods dark and travail
Calling out is of no avail.
Breath in, breath out
Calmly think, think it out
The way is there
The signs will show
Just stop, look, see
Then for sure, you’ll know.

Disaster has struck
Things have happened
That
Just shouldn’t be.
There is all sorts of remorse
And wanting to deny
What
Has come to be.
Maybe tomorrow will be better
But right now
That
I just can’t see.

When I look in the mirror
I see an old lady
Starring at me.
I agonize over
Whether she
Really likes me.
Does she think
Me silly
I can’t see.
But so want to tell her
I’m happy
She got to be an old lady
Just like me!
