No One Cares

October 19, 2015

Hollering in the air
Unaware
No one cares
Lost to the soul
Is a heart full
Of misery and despair
No one knows
Unaware
No one cares, no one cares.

No!

He hears
He knows
Someone cares
He cares.

Morning Rises Clear And Bright

October 16, 2015

Patrice's avatarPatrice’s Art & Poetry Blog

Morning rises clear and bright
Dismissing all that plagued the night.

Optimism reigns supreme
Knowing what must be done
Here in the morning sun.

Clouds may hinder passing light
But don’t forget the morning bright.

This is new, fresh and clear
Make it right my morning dear.

The Words

October 15, 2015

Ancient Mexico ~ Photo by Patrice

The words sit silent
Waiting to take a place
On a page, part of a sentence
A paragraph
Or just fill an empty space.

Never know what they are to be
Where they’re coming from
Placed upon the page
Uttered
From a pulpit
Graced by the shinning sun.

No matter, there they come
No longer waiting
The words have found their purpose
Their place, on a page, a paragraph
A voice
Greeting the morning sun.

Succumb To Nothingness

October 14, 2015

Eugenia Falls Cliff ~ Photo by Patrice

Succumb to nothingness
Drop into the abyss
Slender is the chance
I will survive all this.

Tolerance doesn’t know
Where to step in
Or even if
It still exists.

My sadness knows all this
Crying out the name
The name of one
Who can change, change this.

Sometimes

October 13, 2015

Trumpet Flower - Photo by Patrice

Sometimes the world will cry
Sometimes, sometimes

Sometimes the rain will wash away
The hurt, the anger and the pain
Sometimes, sometimes

Sometimes I need to say
I’ll cry but only for today
Sometimes, sometimes

Sometimes

Agonizing, Difficult Regret

October 8, 2015

Agonizing, difficult regret

Struggling to understand

Just what I did to regret

For no soft heart opens up

Or holds me close

Only solitude, loneliness

Are at my command.

Life of near and far away

Feels trodden upon

No joy to lift me up

No smile that helps me stand

Only agonizing, difficult regret

Struggling to understand.

Gone Into The Wonder

October 7, 2015

Fall Leaves ~ Photo by Patrice

Gone into the wonder of the moment
Delving into the presence I feel
No heart beats just a moment
No heart can repeal
The sound lost from the moment
It’s just a wonderful wonder of a moment
Allowing me to feel.

When I Die

October 5, 2015

morning glories ~ Photo by Patrice

When I die and go to bed
Let me lie and not instead
Listen to the world around
Singing happy, coursing songs.

Let me not beneath the soul
Hear a call of some callous foe
Let me think of not just dread
When I die and go to bed

Nothing Really Happens

October 1, 2015

Nothing really happens until I decide to live the life given
No one else is responsible for anything of mine
My part must be played
Paramount above everything.

Last used Oct. 1/15

Look to yourself
Look within, inside
Answers are there
Waiting to be tried.
