Where Are We Going?

Where are we going?
How long will we stay?
Are our friends coming with us?
Is our life in disarray?
No answer to these questions
No words will make the wrong okay
All I can do is wonder
Cause tomorrow will bring answers
I’m asking for today.

What will be today?
No one telling’
Just moving, moving on their way.
Couldn’t hear directions
Couldn’t see the way
Couldn’t, couldn’t remember my journey
From that other day.
Must trust the Master
Must believe, believe he’ll guide me
On this that is
My journey’s way.

Never Known Where I Belong

Never known where I belong
Seems to me my whole family
Is just wrong.
Why? Why?
Neither does my love’s
Seem willing to embrace
Me strong.
Why? Why?
I don’t know where I belong
Wherever I go
The same seems to apply.
Why? Why?
Am I from another earth?
Do I belong in a time
Gone by?
Can’t say
Don’t know what’s wrong.
Or should I just understand
The world belongs to those
That accept different as they are
Part of the woven web
Is what we are.
We belong, we belong
I now know where it is I belong.

Caress the past
Moving forward
Beyond the last
Making new ones
As they come to be.
No one knows
Just what’s in store
Only that the way
Is open and
Pulls us through
Here to this day.
Showing
Another time
Beginning now today
But always, always
Starting yesterday.

Christmas Comes But Once A Year

Christmas comes but once a year
As does Easter and New Years
Celebrate, have some cake
Eat the treat Christmas makes.
Travel round
See the smile on the child
That believes in Santa Claus.
Feel the joy
Feel the cheer
Wrap a present for someone dear.
Christmas comes but once a year
So we should raise a glass
Of hearty cheer
And bless this day throughout the year!
