No more will I be
the one
who saves you
always full of courtesy
No more will I be
the one
who laughs
dances to a silly song
no more
No more will I be
the one
who helps you up
cradles a ailing, sickly little pup
no
no more
No more
will I be that one
For you see
you have come to me
you have made
me see
I don’t need to do
all that
Cause it’s you
now
doing all this
for me.

My heart bleeds
my eyes
do cry
everything in between
is
start to live
end with
die.
No words will hold you up
no words
take you down
only your mind
can
conquer
what keeps you
constrained
what keeps you bound.
Freedom is yours
freedom
in
life
start to live
is
my advice.

No more to say
no more
to
do
Basking
in
sunshine
Having a drink
maybe
two.

Don’t tell me
I must be the same
same as you, not me.
Don’t tell me
my beating heart
doesn’t count.
Don’t tell me
my thoughts are just lies.
Don’t tell me
the tears I weep will never
bring back ones lost.
Don’t tell me this
I ask of you
I plead, I cry.

A sombre day
in
a troubling
time
Make sure
not
forgotten
Not lost
in
time.

You feel me
close
you feel my heart
I know you do
No words are spoken
no kisses
felt
yet in the future
I hope
I’m all
you think about.

Watch them
live
watch them grow
Nothing
you can purchase
nor
bestow
Watch
seasons past
and
you’ll see
Changes
The new growing
from
the old
Yes
it’s beautiful
to
watch them grow.

I don’t care
if you’re white or black
whether you’ve seen the sacred cow
or
any of that
that
makes us different
in
thoughts and acts
we are still human beings
we are family
joined
it seems
to live life as best we can
making
full of love for all
all
of us
humans
and
other beings.

Change the game
change
the way we look
the way
we play the game
Makes no difference
who sees
we hold
all
the cards
We know
the stakes
we’re going to play
to
win
We’ll change the outcome
we’ll play
the game.

Closing out
closing
down
Everything
is
at
peace
As
we watch
the sun
go
down.
