Soft Comfort And Gentle Tug

June 3, 2011

© Patrice Clarkson – 2011

Soft comfort and gentle tug here on my heart
As I struggle to understand all I’m part of.
Why do things happen? Why do I question?
All will be answered when I have need of.

Moody blue and sunny gold both holding
Untold stories that soon will unfold.

Be pleasant, be happy, see the goodness in all
Drop the bad and the ugly make sure that they fall
Far and away from all that gives joy
In this world most of all.

Joyous is a good word, happy and free
Making life simple and certainly carefree.

Let it be me.

Stormy Seas Toss And Heave

May 31, 2011

Stormy seas toss and heave
Baring mighty strength to all that see
Deep, dark magic, mighty swells
Green, green ocean sea majestic might
Unforgiving harsh and cold
Bringing strength to all that hold
Their secrets to her bosom cold
Diving down to find the strength
The mighty seas do unfold.

Lapping gently on the shore
Of life’s beginning coastal shoal
Be you kind and gentle now
For we do appreciate the living
You endow to all of us
That bow to your mighty
Mighty power call.

Sleepless Night, Starry Night

May 26, 2011

Sleepless night, starry night
Making friends with the mighty
Closely watching all the strong
Strong feelings that evolve from
A sleepless night, starry night.

Here in the open sky
Where many have had
The same powerful feelings
Gone ahead to make it right
In the sleepless, starry night.

Some Things Are Hard

May 23, 2011

Some things are hard to remember.
They crush the spirit, they crush the soul.
We’ll never know what would have happened
If they never had been told.

Muster pass, remember this
They are not your whole world
Only a small part of it.
The beauty of the rest will still unfold.

White Streaks In The Soft Sand

May 20, 2011

White streaks in the soft sand
Remnants of souls long gone
Piercing the light
In the darkness of night
Holding vigil for all that command
Unholy sacrifice on those dark sands.

Duty must absolute command
Sorry for nothing, furrow no brow
Masters of divine now in scowl
Unholy bliss lifting up
Only those who think of buttercups
Making us all sacrificial lambs.

Make it right, don’t deny
All those that suffer in silence nigh
Be nice, be kind
For your turn comes too
And then you’ll know
What must be done
For white streaks in the soft, soft sand.

In The Near Future

May 19, 2011

In the near future and the past
Everything was aghast.
Not so liked but tolerated
Sad to say, that was my past.

I am aghast I let it past
Say no more and move along
My life is worth more
Than a sad, sad song.

Vince's Border terrier ~ Watercolour Art by PatriceSee you there
In that happy place
Full of joy, full of grace.
You will bow and I will chase
All the butterflies that giggle
And face the troubles
I’m trying to erase.

Maybe now it does not exist
Because I showed them
I will resist.

Be ye happy.
Be ye pleased because together
We brought them to their knees.
Here, in the near future
And most likely in the past
With absolute ease.

On This Day

May 16, 2011

On this day
There is a Birthday
Someone special
To all those
Close to her.

Happy Birthday
Many more
Know you’re loved
And held dearly by
All who know
It’s your Birthday!

Rocky Road

May 10, 2011

Rocky road on the way
To wherever I need to stay.
Bare me right, let me know
All the knowledge needed now
To quell the sorrow and
Accomplish the majestic
Mighty might on this
My rocky, rocky road.

Nose To The Toes

May 9, 2011

Nose to the toes and back again.
Get a grip and power strain.

Strength is seen in everything.

Never forget the consequence of
Nose to the toes and back again.

I Wonder Sometime

May 4, 2011

I wonder sometime
If its me or the mind
To concede that the majestic
Are in control of the sublime.

Don’t see the irony
Nor the rhyme
In this that could be called
A lesson on time.
