the pain, the anguish
hidden
inside of me
Maybe tomorrow

the day after that

Tomorrow, most likely
the sun will shine
lighting
the way for those
who have begun
To live
their best life
no matter what anyone says

safe, secure

very, very happy.
No one
can know
where that place
be.
Cause then

all kinds of security.

my heart, my mind

in your presence
for no more than an eternity
feeling

Are the stories
I tell.
Are they true
Or did I just say words
That make the story
Told well?
Secrets revealed
Bad parts left out
Who knows
How can you tell?
Embellished or truthful
Telling a tale
To remember.
Not because
It’s told correctly
But told well.

only
to stow memories
there

remember

the morning light
Or
when alone

the darkest night
Plod ahead
stay
your way
Always courteous
if you can

bids

a wondrous dream
Where you’ll forever

as well.
Maybe it’s for the best
maybe then
we’ll forge ahead
bask
in the brightness
of those things

she does speak of
