Dreams Are Forgotten

July 15, 2016

Patrice's avatarPatrice’s Art & Poetry Blog

Dreams are forgotten
Never to be told
Dreams
Never to unfold.

Dreams of splendour
Happiness and fame
All to be seen
Going down the drain.

Sadness, despair
Anguish and heartache
Tear at the soul
Shattered
Fall to the floor
Never, no more.

Up from the tatters
Mended but bruised
Focused on laughter
Making that dream
Come true.

Watch as dreams
Of splendour and happiness
Unfold to be true
This too can be you.

When The Rains Fell Down

July 13, 2016

Blooms in a Storm ~ Photo by Patrice

When the rains fell down
The sky was blue
Feeling all the misery
That’s come to you.

Tears of sadness
Heartache blue
Rains fell, not only crying
But to comfort you.

Sadness

April 18, 2016

Ice Storm Aftermath ~ Photo by Patrice

Sadness is
A part of life along with heartache, chaos
Unnecessary strife
No amount of humour will make them go away
They stay
Belonging to those that breathe sadness in their day.

Sadness though
Can too, live in a heart full of love
Along with kindness, gentle touch
And
Unconditional love.

Rocking Horse Ride

October 28, 2015

Last used July 19/18

Rocking horse ride
Thundering across the plain
Nostrils flared
Mane aflame.

Rocking horse ride
Without a care
Through the meadow
On the path of some incidental.

Rocking horse ride
With power and strength
No thought
For heartache or complaints.

Rocking horse ride
Throughout time
Please don’t leave
Me far behind.

Rocking horse ride
And understand no bar’s too low
Or hill too high
For a rocking horse to ride and ride.

When The Sorcerer Comes To Town

October 26, 2015

Last used Aug. 20/19

When the sorcerer comes to town

The earth will stop and rotate back around
No friendly comment can expose
A sneaky agenda found beneath the folds
Then and only then will laughter stop a train
Heartache be nothing and nothing to blame

When the sorcerer comes to town

Will you be here or over there?
Will I stand tall or fade to fair?
Will trees bend dropping leaves
Upon the ground
Or reach up scratching heaven’s sky?
Don’t know but I will tell you why

When the sorcerer comes to town.

I Journey To My Home

May 11, 2015

Teddy at the farm ~ Photo by Patrice

I journey to my home
The place where I was born.

Memories past, life I did before
Some heartache, some laughing then and now.

I journey to the place
I was born, I journey home.

Sitting Down To Write

February 23, 2015

Sitting down to write my life
Hear it flow from start
Thru heartache, pressures
And some strife
Coming out full of joy
Learning, seeing warmth glow
Radiating with sweet love.

Can this, could this be my life?

Turquoise Blue

February 9, 2015

Turquoise Blue ~ Photo by Patrice

Turquoise blue
Saintly, much like you
Deep, mysterious
Basking in sunshine
Mists of blue.

No heartache, only passion
Focused on dreams
Stories, mostly about you
Turquoise in colour
Shades of blue.

Nothing I see
Nothing I do
Will make the colour
Like your colour
Turquoise blue.

This Day, This Day Is About To Be

August 8, 2014

Monty boating ~ Photo by Patrice

This day, this day is about to be
Whether happiness, heartache it will be
Greet it with joy
Greet it with ecstasy.

For the next day, tomorrow
May never be
You see this may be, the last day
The last day you see.

We Can Succeed

April 23, 2014

Study of hands and paint brushes ~ illustration by Patrice for New Chalice Brushes

We can succeed in this life we need
Accessing those things we hold so dear.

We can succeed whether the sky is fair
Or filled with heartache, anger and despair.

We can see our way in this life we need
For we believe we can and will succeed.
