Snow Is Blowing Once Again

January 27, 2014

First of Winter Road ~ Photo by Patrice

Snow is blowing once again
Spewing doubt of whether
A heart will beat and families meet
In this world or after.

Sadness is a trait
Carried on an atmosphere
That makes us feel so small
Full of heartache, heartache
Is what we feel us all.

Thru the cold may we flourish
Someday in the warmth
Of sunshine of the sun
Share laughter with family
And all friends
No sorrows or past regrets
Just pleasure at its best.

So, may snow blow love
Far into spring
Caressing thru a summer
That’s falling into fall.

Thats, that’s what we hope for
Even have the nerve to request
Oh yes, that would be the best
For us all.

Never Understood

December 3, 2013

Mulmur Hills Squirrel ~ photo by Patrice

Never understood
How you could walk away
Never turning round
To even say
A kind goodbye

Never understood.

Can’t figure out why
Why it made me cry
Wish with all my heart
I too
Could leave and maybe die

Never understood.

Not now in that awful moment
Moved on and found
The world a lovely place
Full of treasures, beauty, grace
Making all that heartache
Pass away

That, I understand.

But in brief moments
Of some days
I think of you
And still

Can never really understand.

A Candle Is Lit

October 25, 2013

Into the Light ~ photo by Patrice

A candle is lit
Here in my heart
For me and those
Soon to depart.

No heartache will dismiss
My loving wish that
Together we’d stay
Forever and ever
In this precious day.

Pressure

October 23, 2013

Pressure
Too much to measure
Dwelling in the afterbin of heartache
Feeling the pressure.

Want to release
Want it to be deceased
This pressure,

Too much pressure.

Deep In A Wretched Chasm Of Despair

October 18, 2013

Old House Window ~ photo by Patrice

Deep in a wretched chasm of despair
Struggling, struggling to get out
Out of there
Fallen down a well of no repair
Intimidating, dark down there.

Feel the walls
Feel their strength
They’ll help you climb back up
Into a life of freedom
Happiness, no despair.

Don’t dwell way down
Way down there
In that chasm, that well
Filled with hell
Way down there.

Bring yourself up, out
Feel the rays spreading out
Warming, bringing joy
Happiness all about
No pain.

No heartache there about
As we bask in the warmth
Of the sun, knowing
We’ll never fall back down
into that dark chasm
We’ll never, ever fall
ever at all.

Heartache Joyous Flowing Down

January 23, 2013

Heartache joyous flowing down
Releasing sadness all around.

Making love a thing of the past
Making sorrow ever last.

Melancholy thoughts abound
Swirling, twirling, I hear the sound.

Make me happy, make me see
This hardship is not my destiny.

Once More I Write 2013

January 2, 2013

Once more I write 2013. Still strange and scary in some way.

Gone, lost, done is the 2012 year.
Whatever I had wanted to accomplish in that year
I did – or – I didn’t.
It has ended now and I can’t change one bit of it.
Regrets? Yes.
Devastating? Most certainly.
Truly heart-warming? Yes, and much more.

Now I must move on, make this new year the best that I can.
Will I have setbacks and heartache?
Most likely.
But I know I will also have experiences that will take me to the top.
Joy, happiness, success and most of all, love.
This I know because I will make it so.
This is my plan. My resolution for this new year.

Come join me, make it your best year yet. Filled with happiness, love and those wonderful experiences that will carry you thru any dark days that do occur.
And be assured, they will happen.
But change that negative, find something positive in even those dark moments.

Make the world a better place because you were here and chose to do so.

In This House I Claim

August 28, 2012

Merry, happiness, frustration and pain
All have a place in this house I claim
None are all that places me here
Some more than others
Thats what I hear.

Work thru and challenge heartache, despair
None of which need to live here.

Open the door to the house I call mine
Tread lightly down passages
Down into time.
Touch walls built so safe and sound
Savour the flavour of the air all around
Then pad down aisles and up thru stairs
Glistening with joyous, uplifting prayers.

Cozy and tranquil is my room
Safe from danger, heartache and doom
This is where I live, this is my room
I claim it, I cherish it, I live life here
From birth to death here in my house
Here in my room.

Tender Mercies Follow Me

August 23, 2012

Tender mercies follow me
Down the path
And cross the sea.

Tender mercies set me free
Of all this heartache
Anguish and hostility.

Tender mercies let me be
Happy, pleasant
Full of courtesy.

Tender mercies fill me
Full of grace, calm
And dignity.

Tender mercies now I see
Life and love
Can set me free.

Tender mercies let me be
A better person than
Even I thought I could be!

Dreams Are Forgotten

July 10, 2012

Dreams are forgotten
Never to be told
Dreams
Never to unfold.

Dreams of splendour
Happiness and fame
All to be seen
Going down the drain.

Sadness, despair
Anguish and heartache
Tear at the soul
Shattered
Fall to the floor
Never, no more.

Up from the tatters
Mended but bruised
Focused on laughter
Making that dream
Come true.

Watch as dreams
Of splendour and happiness
Unfold to be true
This too can be you.
