Left to decay
In the midst of rubble
Smashed
Ruined
Just the other day.

Will I get it back?

Will I feel
Love
Another time?

Another day?

My heart doesn’t know
She beats
She hopes
She prays.

What has happened
What lies ahead
Wondering.

Know nothing
Can be changed
Nor improved upon
Still, still wondering.

Will it happen once again
Or be so different
From the past
I’m wondering, wondering.

No one knows for sure
Yet hopes
Assumes the best
While wondering, wondering.
