Thru The Quiet Door

Thru the quiet door
I sneak
not pausing
for a deep breath
I creep.

To see
wonders unfold
treasures
a master did create
all this
to behold.

I won’t laugh or cry
for my eyes
have seen
the most exquisite things
my lips
can’t describe.

Quietly

Quietly
I said the words
I know will take me through
everything
I need to go.

Quietly I spoke
a smile upon my face
for I knew the words
would go out
way out into space
where once again their meaning
would replace
all the hatred consuming
leaving scars across the land
across our face.

Quietly I hope
my words will come true
so
together in this world
we’ll know
only
tenderness and love
even if it’s
just we two.

You Are Close

You are close
you’re very near
yet I can’t see you
feel you
no way do I know
you’re here.

My lips do cry
my eyes do weep
they fall upon my heart
it moans
I cannot speak.

Do come
near
do let me hear
your soft voice caressing
away
all this sadness
all this fear.

Maybe then
I’ll be okay
maybe
I’ll know for sure
you are close, you are very near
oh, my sweet dear.
