Dead leaves fall
Blowing
In the breeze
Falling to the grass
Floating
In the stream.
Dead leaves fall
Gathering
On the deck
And
Beneath barren trees.
Dead leaves fall
While children
Laugh
As they frolic in those
Now dead leaves.
That fell

Fall.

know that tenderness

make my world turn
with kindness, not hate

search, participate.

the way to heaven
is always open

it’s there

at their command.

A hummingbird came
he sat
on the stair
his words were luscious
I knew he was there.
The beat of his wings
the flow of his heart
moved me to tears
I bowed down
I cried
I cried a lot.
For no more til spring
will I hear those sounds
as snow falls
baring down
on a land bleak
where
no hummingbird sounds.
Then
the snow will melt
the heavens wake
and
on his journey back
the hummingbird makes.

Holding on to memories
I shared with you
Some good, some bad
We danced in sync
In a dance of life
We had
Just we two.

you pick me up
my life is saved
My heart
also
is picked up
Safe and serene
standing straight up
I feel your presence, I feel your love
And that’s when
I race
to another
who needs me
to
pick them up.

The rain hides my tears
The sun soothes my fears
My heart knows
This too shall pass

In the meantime
It lasts, it lasts.

The water weeps to the ground
Soaking all
Saturating a thirsty ground.
Flowers dance between
The raindrops moist
Blooming, sacrificing all
It is their choice.
Clouds thunder
Marching across the sky
No time for plunder
For something in the distance
Has caught their eye.
Now I stand amidst this
I’m part of this
The earth, the wind, the sky
All this happening round
I feel it, feel so profound.
